aah the trials of life.......yes depression is a difficult road and a very long one, suicide is just one of the turnoffs that you come across as you travel down it.....
too bad some people just don't give you the benefit of doubt that you have the strength to get through it and try to 'smooth' the bumps in the road which doesn't help.
the best help is support to get over the bumps and continue on....

I have thought about it and actually attempted it twice and almost succeeded, but I was shocked back once in the hospital and then I was brought back in the ambulance. So it isn't a good idea for anyone as you might not succeed and life is worth living!

I thought of it a couple of years ago when my depression got so bad the thought of suicide kept coming to mind so I gave a bag full of long sharp steak knives for a friend to keep for me for at least a year.

You know when I was younger I used to think about it and I was depressed but I am not anymore. I turned to my lord and he helped me out. He's the greatest therapist out there. Now I'm glad I don't think about it anymore. If you are then you shouldn't because remeber commiting suiside won't help any. Remeber your loved ones and how they'd feel. I always suggest that people turn to God if they need help. I did and now I am glad to be alive but if you don't feel comforable or don't believe in him I'm not here to push my belifes on you but please get some help that's what the therapist are there for. Don't kill yourself please. There are other alternatives.

Nope..... too much to live for and would never want to make anyone that sad, especially my kids. But I don't know what depression is like so I can't speak for anyone else.

Many times in my life i just had times where i felt no body loved me and that everybody didnt want me and hated me,, i felt like killing myself but i just didnt have the guts to try,, i mean im around everybody almost all of the time and it would be obvious that i was trying to kill myself. I guess i just had mild depression.
At the moment it has decreased but i think that it might happen again.

I think everyone considers it at some time.
Would I do it? No
I've seen alot of suicide attempts in my nursing career. Don't do it.
