If the computer keeps rebooting at that point it is most likely due to software corruption. When Windows begins to load a particular driver (or DLL or something) at that point, it crashes the OS and causes a reboot.
Your best bet would be to do a reinstall of the OS. There are a few ways to do this and a 'repair' mode would be the best start as you should be able to blank out your Windows but keep your data (all programs, like Office, would need to be reinstalled still... but your data would still be in tact).
If it is a laptop it is possible that either you were shipped CDs to use as a 'restore' or watch during the startup and there should be a "Function" (ie F8, F3, F2) key to hit which will cause the computer to launch a built in restore feature (in this case, no CD would be needed).

We have the symptoms at work, it could be many things. The simplest would be pulling out and re-seating the RAM. Even through I do not condone people with little or no computer knowledge to do anything hardware related on a laptop, it really would not be that hard. Look under your laptop and you should see the outlines of little "doors", if you don't then you probably have a sealed system and you will have to hope you didn't void your warranty, unscrew one at a time to see in side (with your PC off of course) you should see little square chips. They should be about 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 inches long and around a inch wide. Look for little metal clamps on the sides of the RAM stick(s) gently pull the tabs away from the ram, If there not there then gently push on the RAM stick(s), until the RAM moves gently remove and replace in reverse order. If that doesn't work you may have damaged your power supply, that would mean your laptops basically ruined.

Window Vista has far greater function plus greater helpful hardware that help vista with window xp somewhat any purposes that would shop up with greater cutting-edge technologies. Plus the clarification why they make a 2nd Verizon of a product is on the grounds it somewhat is greater helpful then the a million st verizon. So in the previous you start up asserting window xp is greater helpful then vista that's clearly no longer as a results of fact with window xp barley has any purposes can it help blue teeth? Can window xp be connect with xbox 360 or ps3? vista can yet plus those people who're asserting xp the two cant have the money for vista or has a older pc.... and additionally they made a greater cutting-edge verison of vista much less glichts.

I agree with peter, it's a software problem. but before you reinstall windows, hit f8 as you are starting up like you are going into safe mode, when the menu appears, instead of safe mode, pick the one that says start up to the last good configuration (or something to that effect) It worked on mine about a week ago, Mine wouldn't boot up and I thought I was done for.

Try shutting the lap top off completely, so there are absolutely no lights left blinking...count to 15 or so...then try turning it on again and let it take its time warming up and getting into gear...I dont know a lot about the computers either but sometimes this helps me...good luck

You said "went in the bath". Does that mean the laptop went in the bath, because if it did, I think that is what messed it up.
SERIOUSLY, It sounds like it could be your processor that is not functioning properly. It could also be your hard drive. Have them checked by someone that knows computers.

I faced that exact problem with my desktop. Chances are you have a Virus like torjans. try using recovery disks that came with your computer that how i fixed mine or if your computer didn't come with any try taking it to a repiare shop. most likly it a virus. next time try buying up-to-date anti-virus it helps alot. like Norton Anti-Virus 2007 or McAffe
