When can u find out baby's gender?

I'm only 8 weeks along, but already so anxious and excited. I was wondering how soon you are able to recognize the baby's gender? Thanks!

Usually between 16 and 24 weeks gestation. It depends on baby's position, but that's right around the time they will start checking.

You will able to tell the gender of the baby at about 5 months.

my friend found out at 14 weeks but they won't give you a guarantee if it's a girl only if it's a boy because that is a lot harder to mistake!
I've also recently learned of a test where you get your blood drawn ans send it to a lab (no idea where, your doctor may have heard of it though) and you can findout as early as 8 weeks, this is what angelina jolie and julia roberts and a few other famous people have done, although your insurance won't cover this.

After 16 weeks. Before than babies have what's called an Indifferent Penis (both girls and boys). At about 16 weeks it either goes inside and turns into a vagina and uterus for girls (in other words, it disappears), or starts to turn into a real penis for boys.

It depends on the test you want to run.
Genetic tests can be done right now but costs alot and can pose unecessary risks.
Most common however is to wait for your forst ultrasound and hope the baby cooperates.

The normal time is about 20 weeks. Sometimes sooner, sometimes later. It all depends on if your baby cooperates.
