I would chose Bruce Dickinson, but the judges on American Idol always pick the flamers so Rob Halford would probably win lol.

Freddie Mercury and Steve Perry are NOT Metal singers

Journey and Queen is NOT metal! =) They are ROCK...had to clear that up first. Now...to answert your questions. Rob Halford....He can hit the higher and lower octaves "
for example songs like "Jawbreaker", " Ram it down", "
"Before the dawn" , " Sinner" and the classic bombshell song " Victim of changes" without cracking. I know my metal very and Rob would win big time.

ok boy, listen up.

none of them would EVER be on a gay show like that because they have proved a numerous amount of times that they do not need a stupid talent show like american Idol to prove how talented and good they are. they got noticed and got a shitload of hits on their own by doing it the hard way and are still very well known today for hits in the 80's.

no offence or anything but honestly, the thought of any of them being on american Idol is disturbing. They are simply too good for that show and should not be put down to that level.

peace

This might be the sweetest question Ive answered yet! A litteral pantheon of pure front-men. There would defintely be some vote splitting here. Its a tough comeptition but I gotta give the top award to Axl. Dont get me wrong there all super bad ***, but Axl was just my guy. (Unless you had Roth in there)

I agree with Man in the Box - Steve Perry is soft rock at best, definitely not metal.

Axl, for sheer stage presence and terrific voice!
