It is about confidence. That will come with beer, sorry, I meant time. Just don't be a wallflower. That's why it took me so long to get a girlfriend!

Take your time. Concentrate on your studies, exams etc. Are you going to college after you leave school? Think that you will meet people at college, university and later on. But the thing to do is concentrate on your education, getting a job afterwards, then finding someone.

But!!!!!! If you meet someone at 16, 17 or 18, don't for goodness sake get them pregnant. Don't be a father at 16. And don't rush into getting a date just because everyone else is.

Take care.

There's no rush and you are very typical. Your friend is right, that self confidence and being forward will likely get you exposure to more women. You can develop that if you want, or you can develop yourself and be somebody that a woman would really want, not just a one night stand like your mate fancies. Be proud of yourself and who you are, and the rest will come as you get out in the world.

I'm a 22 year old and i believe that you don't have any thing to worry about ! when i was at school every one told story's as to what they got up to with lads. i always thought i had to be really ugly because i never seemed to do anything with lads except talk and i always found that hard. i now know that almost all my friends were lieing!!! and to honest most didn't start dating until we were around 18 when we could afford it. i ha my first kiss when i was 17 and didn't sleep with a guy until i was 18 when i got older and talked about this with my friends i found most were around the same age so don't worry yet

Trust me man. I did not have a G/F until I was 15. I had the same problem with confidence you have. But I just got over it long enough and asked someone out. The first girl you ask out may say no, but don't worry somebody will say yes.

hi, i know what you mean. i go to an all girls school and used to find it impossibly to get guys. it sounds like you dont really want to hang round with these types of girls, so of course your not going to have confidence around them. I have been dating this guy i met for almost 2 years now and as cheesy as this may sound i met him at my local youth group. do you have one? it saves hanging round with a bunch o people that smell like the inside of a pub! keep up the gym work! it will make it easier. and if all else fails, just hope over to england and come see us girls here, we would kill for a guy with an irish accsent! or australian for that matter!:P xxx

Its prob. because you go to an all boys school. its really hard to meet girls that way and ive been in your situation kinda. In the summer i live in a town with almost NO kids. so its hard to meet people, but at like parties and stuff i try to be myself and talk to people and i make friends!

Its not really about confidence. its about being yourself. girls will go for you that way. If you are not that confident try focusing on your good qualities for a few days and you'll start to gain some. its good to be confident as long as your not cocky. girls HATE that.

a good way to meet people in your area is from online dating, like e-spin the bottle. just make sure it is safe otherwise things could get ugly.

you moved, which causes problems. and yes, an all boys school usually keeps you from contact with girls. you are not weird. why dont you just try to get out of your element? my boyfriend was very shy, but he took a risk, and he got me :] thats pretty good i think :] go to the book store. the people that are there arent drunks and the girls would be quiet, nice, sweet, and maybe shy. but thats what you are, so hey, thats a perfect match.

One approach to this is to solve a different problem. What do you do with your time - what does that activity say about you? What are you interested in? Get involved with it - be "a player". by that I mean, do something that you enjoy, and that raises your profile. Can you breakdance, pot-hole, run, play rugby, etc.

If you are doing something positive that you enjoy the it is likely that the rest will follow. It also helps if there is some physical element to it, e.g. cycling is more physical than, say, stamp collecting.

Don't expect instant results.

I'm your age and never had a boyfriend. Being single is great because you have more time to explore yourself. I'm very quiet too but i have it great without all the extra emotions of dating. Don't worry I'm sure that there is someone out there for you, not now but soon. good luck and don't stress over this you'll do fine.

being the new kid anywhere suck but us Irish don't tend to take to many people. and here no you leave the drink out of it Irish teens don't have much more of a past time really except to sit in fields (not that i drink but still)
you try relaxing an taking to the lads when they're in a convo with the girls! don't be fake they'll see right through you!
good luck! ^.^
