I'm a massive Buffy fan, and when i looked on Joss Whedon's official site, Whedonesque, this are the words right out of his mouth about a spike movie:
"The infamous Spike movie. Still haven't finalized anything, but I feel that very soon I'll be able to go to James and say something a lot more interesting than "Wouldn't it be cool if..." 'Course, I just hope he's free some time this decade. See how my peeps is all actifying!"
Of course i would support him in it!! I absolutely LOVE Spike and James Marsters, so I'd be the first one in the cinema in the front row if that were to happen!!
Angel. Riley. Spike.
1. Spike - As for what he's capable of, did you ever hear Buffy asking Angel or Riley to look after Dawn or protect her in a potentially dangerous Apocalypse?? Simple answer. Nope. In the Gift, Buffy trusts Spike with her sister's life and asks him to protect her whatever happens because she knows he's strong enough. And he does. In countless episodes, if Buffy ever has to go off to fight some demon by herself, she always leaves her friends and family with Spike, like when she leaves her Mom Joyce and her sister dawn with Spike in season 5, because she knows that he'll take good care of them. And he always does, because he loves Buffy and knows that in order to keep Buffy happy, he has to take care of those close to her heart. As for what he has done, i think that out of the three men, he is the one that has actaully managed to achieve redemption because he believed in himself, and he turned his life around.
2. OOh i was looking forward to this one!! Spike!!! It has to be. Because Spuffy is such a beautiful and endearing romance, and there are so many reasons why Buffy is better suited with Spike than Angel or Riley ever. I think that when Buffy's Mom had died and she died, then got pulled out of heaven, and Spike was dealing with his feelings for Buffy, they were both going through a rough time and spike was the only one who really understood how buffy felt. with buffy and angel there was just love, but with spuffy you have love and passion. Many people think that what Spike held for Buffy was just a stalker-ish obession, but i think he loved her because he knew he shouldn't, and she the same.I don't think it was neccessarily obsession but the way in which he conveyed his love made it look like that. i think he and buffy both didnt want to admit to themselves what they felt because they knew it was wrong, and thats why she didnt tell angel she loved spike, because she was sort of ashamed that she did. sorry to ramble on, just a proud spuffy fan here.....
3. James Martsers!! Let's start with looks now, shall we? As you may have noticed, i have a weird obsession with JM and Spike, so it's easy for me to point out some of his best features.
a - his cheekbones. I have never seen anyone with cheekbones that well sucked in before it just amazes me!!
b- his hair. As spike i loved it bleached and gelled back, but as Jm i was proud of him when he shaved all of it off for charity. Awww!!
c - his butt. A girly opinion, but he has a really great ***.....
Based on acting ability, he has a great ability to convey so many different roles (good, bad, sexy, emotional, past) and portray them in a way that makes them all believable.
4. Spike again!! It's just that he loved Buffy more than anyone ever had, and he was hot.....he showed sympathy when Buffy neeeded it, and recongized it when his did something wrong. Spike is a sarcastic bad boy with the heart of a poet and a lover, and charm oozing out of his ears. (I'm pretty sure that's the reason his hair's that color.) He'll suck the life out of you and make you think it was a fun party. Plus he's British. Where does that not get fun: a badass English vamp? Spike was the toughest, coolest and funniest of them all.....he was even cooler than bad guy angel when he was a fruity human poet....Spike WINS OUT for me - James Marsters played the character with such passion and outstanding acting, and the complete series arc for Spike was just great. I mean, Spike wasn't forced into getting a soul like Angel was, which means that for some reason he still had humanity in him. How cool is that? Also, Spike didn't leave. yeah I get that Angel left for a good reason. But I love the fact that Spike could never stay gone. He was funny, cocky, but he was there for Buffy when she needed him and when she didn't need him. Even when he was chip-less, he stayed. He didn't have too. But he did. besides, if you calculate right- Spike spent a lot more time with Buffy then Angel ever did. Plus he looked after Dawn even when Buffy didn't tell him to. Yeah I get that Angel had go reason to go, and that Buffy did ask him to go on the last ep. But If Angel truly loved Buffy, then he would have stayed no matter how much she wanted him to go. Spike did. Spike stayed no matter what. Though sometimes his intentions weren't entirely noble... still, he stayed. Spike, not only being hotter and funnier, was just an amazing character. He was a soulless vamp who still managed to fall in love with the person he hated the most, and he didn't deny his feelings, he went through with themand tried to become a better man (maybe not for the most noble reasons, but still), and even after Buffy died he felt obligated to take care of Dawn. AND when he thought his chip stopped working in Smashed he had to talk himself into being the bad guy and biting that girl although he didn't actually have a conscience or a soul to stop him(and BTW, I thought it was beautifully poetic that the one person he could actually hurt was the one person he really cared for). Angel was punished with his soul.To make him suffer forever. Spike? he fought for it, he nearly DIED for it. And people may say that his motivation for itwas just Buffy, but why is Angel's reason better? When he was Angelus he didn't want his soul back, and he hated Buffy for making him feel the way he did. Spike was grateful towards Buffy for treating him like a man, and for the feelings he had for her. And after trying to rape her (not his shiniest moment, I agree), he felt genuinely guilty. A vampire with no soul feeling guilt, real guilt, over his actions, and went to get his soul, not only to be a better man for Buffy, but for himself, to never allow something like that happen ever again.
He died to save the world, and he gave Buffy the strength she needed when she needed it most.
I think I wrote a little bit too much. Anyways - Spike rules, Angel's lame, his hair goe's straight-up, and he's bloody stupid.
5. I think that yeah, there are a few more Spike fansites than for Buffy because, i mean, come on - EVERYONE LOVES SPIKE!!!!
woo, my hands ache after that.......but my point is that angel and riley suck and are lame, and SPIKE ROCKS FOREVER!!
r.i.p - Spike - love you forever!!

I have heard the rumor of a Spike movie, but don't know if Joss Whedon originated it.
I would love to see a Spike movie, but even more important than having Buffy in it, is having Willow and the Scoobies in it. I hope they lose the lesbian line, it didn't add much to the story. I guess they were getting on the gay bandwagon.
I'd vote for it as many times as I could.
1--Angel,Angel,Spike. Forget Riley.
2.--Angel.
3. -David Boreanaz. He has presence. I could watch him for hours. As a romantic leading man, he's aces.
4--Spike. I love the bold cynical humor.
5.-- I don't know if it's true, but I wouldn't be surprised.

I like Spike as a character, but no would not like to see a Spike Movie, he worked well as part of the ensemble. Not true star quality, and can't see him as the star of a movie, especially with his soul back, he doesn't have the drive he had at the beginning when he was pure evil.
1. Would have to say best "man" is Angel considering all he has done. He started out as pure evil and got a soul he didn't want and managed to live with it, at first not very well, but due to Buffy turned himself around and became one of the good guys. He knew when it was time to leave her, even though it hurt both of them. He managed quite well on his own in LA, helped people for no money and looked out for all those that he could. Risked his life by letting Angelus out to help save LA, and to help Cordalia. He gave his all for a son who hated him, but he wouldn't give up trying to give Connor a better life, even if it meant giving up his chance for mortality. His soul was true and he was a just man/vampire
2)Actually I felt that the best match for Buffy wasn't Angel, even though in many ways they had a pull that kept them together, but I would say for some reason she fit better with Spike. There were just sparks that flew when the two of them were together. She was being honest with her feelings when she left the cave at the end and she looked at him and she said she loved him. She really had grown to love him. They had gone through the sexual dance routine before he got his soul, but he got his soul ffor her and she knew that, and he never tried anything again. He was just there for her, in love with her, but wouldn't do anything unless she said yes. It was a strange match, but a match that fit in all the right places
3)Best Actor - at that period I would have to say Spike. I think that Angel in his new role on Bones has proved that he really can act, but during these shows he was way too wooden and seemed like a man in a wrong sized suit. Spike was a natural. He just flowed with the part. It was like it was written for him. He kept his accent, which is not an easy task. And he made you laugh, on both shows. In "Angel" he was truly the comic relief at times. On Buffy he played a great Bad Boy, and he did a great turn around when he realized he was in love with Buffy. Good acting job. As far as looks go, he had one hell of a hot look for a Vampire or a living man. He beat out the rest in desirability.
5)Not sure what you mean here, are you saying that people fantasize about Spike more than they do about Buffy. You aren't very clear. If that is what you are saying, I could believe that. He played the bad boy, the very sexy bad boy. Buffy played the cute little slayer. She was cute, she was blonde, she dressed well, but she wasn't very sexy, what was there really to fantasize about. She was the girl next door with added strength, not really a sex object. I don't think Joss Wedon went out of his way to make her that way. He even made her a klutz at times, like in the first year at college. She wasn't supposed to be every man's wet dream. Spike was supposed to be the one you lusted after.
