That's why you upload a pic of yourself instead of using a cartoon image.

Yeah, I like the fact that they introduced "plus sized" options, but it would be nice to be able to have some options for showing various ages.
I also think it's wierd that the avatars give no clues as to age. It does put us all on a level playing field, though.
You could always call yourself "joe the XX year old man".

Yes, how do we let yahoo know that some of us would like older looking avatars. (even though we may not necessarily be older, lol)

Man, I have asked this question before and never received an answer.
I guess this service was designed for tweens, and it caught on with others.
I do wish Yahoo would update the possible looks to ones that have gone through puberty, at least. :o)

You get what you pay for, I guess. And as for the "plus-size" options someone mentioned - who are they kidding? So what we have now is basically "Southern California" and "Normal" sized. (Trust me - I'm in So Cal.)
I wanna see some beards, I wanna see piercings, I wanna see a fat avatar. I'm with you on this one.

I don't think they all do... just most of them. But honestly, the oldest you're bound to look with these is mid-twenties, which is far too young to be the topping age.

I don't think they all do. I'm 25, and I think my avatar looks like a woman in her twenties. It actually looks a lot like me - I wouldn't have an avatar if I couldn't find one that looked like me (I won't use my pic because I want anonymity).
ETA: Give your avatar a normal hair color if you don't want it to look like a kid.
