It takes the Moon one month to orbit the Earth. That's how we define a month.

Lunar Sidereal Period: 27.3 days
Lunar Synodic Period: 29.5 days

I hope this helps, at least a bit.

1. About 238,000 miles
2. About 29 days
3. As the moon travels around the earth, the earth is moving around the sun. So in one year, there are about 12 and 2/5th total cycles of the moon, in which it travels approximately 2*pi*93,000,000 miles. So the travel per cycle is 580,000,000/12.4 or 48,000,000 miles.
