Are you English people fu**ing crazy? The man built a bomb with the intent to kill; that is to destroy human life, make dead, slaughter, butcher, decapitate, splatter london streets with human blood, dismember people, etc.. And you are just going to charge him with "Conspiracy to cause explosions"?
What kind of prison sentance does that hold? You are just going to charge this man with the same crime as you would a person who makes his own fireworks and sets them off in the countryside. Why are you not outraged? Why are you not stomping this guys chest in? Why are you not petitioning your government to hang this nut and his co-conspirators by the neck until dead? No the terrorists will have what's coming to them but through the proper channels.
He can't be charged with causing an explosion as the attack was foiled by our EXCELLENT emergency services.
Regarding the Glasgow Air Port attack our emergency services were heroes there also.
Where the heck do you get your info from, the maximum sentence IS NOT 4 years.
Regarding the hanging are YOU too dumb to realize that the death penalty was abolished in the United Kingdom.

Conspiracy to cause an explosion with intent to Mame or kill carries a life sentence IF he is found guilty in a court of law. Unlike your president, we don't like to make stories up to bomb and incarcerate people we were lied to by bush. and here every man has his day in court and he will get what he deserves if he is guilty.( it a crying shame the same thing can not be said about your schizoid president) the biggest ***** of all here is tony Blair he made a **** out of our country kissing bushes *** i would say he is was not acting as representative to our people when he teamed up with the **** wake up and smell the shady investments you moron!

it is the same crime as putting a stick of dynamite in a car or a 10 megaton bomb. (however i not having known if he actually exploded it) conspiracy implies that he did not detonate the device.

It carries quite a hefty sentence, actually. Also, there is some strategy in keeping him alive.... I'm not in the UK, but it isn't that hard to figure out.
