Very much so.
What keeps us "happy?"
First, a LONG list of common interests. For us, it's not a matter of "your" friends vs "my" friends, or "your" interests vs "my" interests.
Second, we lust after each other like a couple of horny weasels.
Third, we have a sufficient sense of emotional maturity, compromise, sympathy and forgiveness.

I'm 29 and have been married 8 years.
First, marriage is a LOT of work. Lots of give and take, respecting one another, TRUST, honesty, supporting one another. Treat him how you would want to be treated. Sometimes, if my hubby is being distant I just lavish him with attention and love (physical and emotional). It always brings him around.
You are his lover, his best friend and the one he should be able to lean on. I will tell you it isn't always going to be easy, but it is so worth it.

I was until he died. We'd been married 13 years and had exactly 2 screaming fights.
I was happy because he thought I was the most wonderful woman in the world and told me so. He was a really nice, nice man who seldom got mad about anything except something or somebody hurting me or our kids.

Of course! Common sense, tolerance, patience, an open mind, intelligence, frank communication, acceptance, sensibility, good humor, a cooperative spirit, tough love, great sex, a vivid imagination, respect, self-respect, mutual agreement, sharing, individuality, trust, and consideration keep it that way!

yes. some days or weeks its HELL NO, but marriage is a roller coaster of ups and down. personal space/family time/dating time/ independence balanced with interdependence. we have opposite personalities and fight all day but at the en dof the day the best time for me is when we cuddle on the love seat. he plays with my long hair-that i grew just because he likes it that long
he puts his legs over my lap and i lie on his stomach as he plays with my hair. he smells so good and i feel so secure . we laugh together at the comedies we watch then we make love. its great-especially when we put the kids to bed early watch a movie eat ice cream and make love.
