"endings" don't really happen, they're more a storyteller's device
"one thing leads to another, leads to another, ...etc"
Haven't you ever had the expereince of "seeing a happy ending" and feeling like "yeah, but wait till the next day and THEN you'll see how it really is .."
LOLOL sorry for the sour view ... but "tomorrow's another day" ...
[didn't "Gone with the Wind" have a bittersweet ending ?]

In real life, but not in fairy tales... because sadly, life often doesn't end happily.
I like the German ending for fairy tales: "And if they had not died, they would still live today"... much better than "Happily ever after".
