Most gas oven broiler combo's built in the last 15 years have glo igniters that start the bake and broiler features of the oven. Most have separate igniters for each function, consequently, the broiler may lite and the bake function not, or vice versa. It's nearly a sure bet that that part is your problem. They vary in price from $35 - $75 depending on the make and model of your unit. Some change out comparatively easily, some are a real pain. Best done by a service tech. The element in the glow coil is ceramic and if you bang it or drop it during installation you can break it before you even get it put in.
