It's healthier for the bottom line to outsource tech support. Here, the bottom salary is around $12 an hour. There about $2 an hour. So corporate shareholders demand fat returns on their investments. So corporations outsource. Quite sad. Sounds like a Michael Moore Documentary.

It is called outsourcing and companies in America do it all the time because it's cheaper to hire workers in India than it is to pay minimum wage or higher to people in the United States. Businesses want to make and conserve as much money as they can and this is just one way they go about it. Setting up factories in third-world countries and getting cheap labor and avoiding certain environmental laws created in the U.S. is also another way. Capitalism is beautiful but unfortunately this is the downside-human greed overrides the obvious need for the mental and physical health of other human beings as well as the health our environment.

companys now adays outsource tech support help to several different countries. the reason for this is to cut their costs to provide tech support. They do this even though this can sometimes be annoying, confusing, and cause problems trying to get support.

Dell have outsourced technical support staff. This makes it very difficult to communicate with them. Try asking to be transferred to a representative that is fluent in English.

Outsourcing technical support to a foreign country is a far more economical play than keeping it in the US...in house or outsourced.
Essentially it's cheaper.
