He wouldn't be on either side. He is a man of peace. He didn't want others to have to suffer. Plus, don't you remember the story of the rich man. He asked Jesus what he must do to have eternal life. Jesus told the man to take all that he has and give it to the poor. The man went away dissatisfied. Jesus had said that it is easier for a camel to get through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to get into heaven. The rich need to have mercy and give to the poor and needy. Those people suffer daily and need some compassion. Not everyone has a choice to be poor. Some people can try and try and not be able to stay caught up with things and live a good life.

I don't think he would formally take sides but his years on Earth were clearly ones promoting the helping of poor, sick, and elderly people. One need only see what Jesus did as described in the Gospels.

The side of God, trying to save the human race. Chances are, He probably would have a few chances words to say about holier-than-thou, Bible-thumpin', so-called Christian conservatives. He probably would tell them to stop taking His name in vain--stop claling themselves Christians. He probably would also remind us to:
Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's and render unto God that which is His.
Keep Church and State separate. Afterall, the Taliban found out it was a bad idea to try putting them together.

I never heard of Jesus killing anyone so that he could make a profit. Jesus and his followers don't need a tremendous amount of money - he fed four thousand people with 7 loaves of bread and a few small fish....remember?

If Jesus was on earth today he'd be a loner, the conservatives would think him too liberal, the liberals would think him too religious and the religious would consider him to be blasphemous.

Huh?
He'd be busy performing the miracle of getting liberals to stop talking about how much they support the poor and elderly, and start actually doing something about it!

He wouldn't disclose his political preferences whatsoever, but perhaps he would be able to find a peaceful way to end this war.

Jesus was Jewish, so he would probably go straight to Israel and help resolve the Middle East conflict.

Fighting for big business and big oil of course. How else could the poor be helped if no one made any money?
