(Please - I know they qualify under the Constitution to run for President - So does Carrot Top)

Every President that I can remember have had at least ONE of these things on their resume; Most had a combination!!

Military Experiance, CEO of a company, CEO in government like a Mayor or a Governor. Foreign Diplomat Experiance.

Hillary & Obama have NONE of these.

Hillary & Osama are 2 of 100 United States Senators. They have never been in Charge of anything. They are 2 of 100 people serving in the Senate. On top of this, they have only been in the US senate a very short time. They are both JUNIOR senators. They have NEVER been in a leadership position of ANY kind (Mayor, Gov, CEO, Military Officer).

(Bush 2 times elected CEO/Governor of Texas, Ran a Business, Flew Jets in the guard, Harvard MBA)

I'm a Dem...and even I question their qualifications.

I think you've gone a long way to answering your own question with your reference to Bush. You say he ran a business, but he in fact ran several; furthermore, he ran each of them into the ground and had to be bailed out and restarted by his father's cronies. Nor has he done anything but a piss-poor job in undertaking any of his "professional" experiences, especially his current job. The question shouldn't be merely one of the position held, but how well the person performed in that role. We seem to take it for granted that merely having moved on to a yet bigger thing is some measure of qualification, whereas the current president has shown that this conclusion does not follow.

To return to your question about Hillary and Obama, though, you seem to forget that the former spent eight years in the white house behind the scenes and was probably very familiar with the issues and types of decisions a president needs to make (as wife and confidante). That's an excellent qualification, for one of them, at least.

And we have a national dept up to our eyeballs. We are in a war that we should not be in. We have called off the search for the man that attacked us and killed nearly 3000 plus people let alone how many he injured. I don't know about you but I'm tired of the lies. Scooter Libby scott free ring a bell to you?

Mayor, Gov, CEO, Military Officer is your requirement for the job. Don't you think its time for some new blood in the office. I not saying I like these two people at all. I am just saying that walks of life is just as good for being elected as being a CEO.

Ran the Texas Rangers in the ground. Also flamed out as an oil man. He barely qualed in the guard for flight time. Did well as Texas Gov. and should have stopped there. He obviously had found his groove. Done so bad at President that even conservative talk show hosts that usually will blindly follow him just on the strength of the (R) will openly and freely take pot shots at him as evidenced by the immigration bill flame out.

Don't get too hung up on the resume. Past performance does not predict future results.

Bush failed at every business he ran. He was bailed out by Daddy.
He wouldn't have even gotten into harvard without daddies money. He was less then average as a student. In fact I have seen interviews with his professors who said he was a joke.
He was able to learn to fly a plane. That certainly qualifies him for president.
Governor of Texas. Once again money can apparently buy anything.

What was the question again? Oh yeah. How does another right wing hero Reagan hold up to your definition of qualifications.

well... I don't know about a joke exactly...

but that's the knock on them... lack of experience... especially Obama...

but the thing is... many people are TIRED of these people who are Washington/political insiders with all the experience in the world NOT CHANGING ANYTHING and if anything making things worse...

Obama is fresh air... with new ideas... I mean, do the VAST MAJORITY OF AMERICANS think he could do any worse than Bush? I don't think so...

I think many people are saying... "look what happened the last time we voted for someone with 'leadership' experience"

This is Bush's REAL resume....

First US President to be a convicted Felon BEFORE being elected (something I always thought precluded someone from being President);
Won the most embarrassingly negative campaign in US History, while winning the most suspicious election in US History;
Spoke very forcefully after 9/11 about "smoking bin Laden outa his cave", but 5 years later, WHERE IS OSAMA BIN LADEN?
Why arent the borders secure?
Why was Bush willing to sell out seaports to Dubai?
Why did Bush resist forming an independent 9/11 Commission, then have to be sued to provide supeanoed papers, then refuse to speak to the committee under Oath, THEN has ignored their findings, not implementing even ONE of their recommendations?
Why did Bush ignore warnings of the attacks of Sept 11, preferring to be on vacation almost half that first, crucial 10 months?
Why did the "Terrorist Threat Board" which has been welded onto "Elevated" for over 3 years now, not even BLINK when the JFK fuelline plot, the "Fort Dix Six" Conspiracy, OR The British Car Bomb plots were reported? Is that Threat Board just more window dressing they got bored with?

Texas Governor, 2 terms, never went to Governors' Association meetings in DC, never held any governors' meetings in TX during his terms. DID however, have the most state prison executions, and also the most investigations into his "cozy relationships" with several Texas Power Companies. Being governor does NOT prepare you for Washington the way being a Senator does. He walked in cold, not even knowing where the bathrooms were.

He stuck a bunch of his buddies in key government postions, then watched them as they completely botched their responsibilities, then resign, one after the other, until dozens of people had fled Bush's White House.

Democrats are often accused of being "Tax and Spend" liberals. Bush has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, "Tax and Spedn" is INFINITELY cheaper in the long run, than "Borrow from China and Spend Trillions" is.

When he went to Washington to take over as President, the man had never even BEEN in the White House before, they had to remind him how to get to his office. Can you say that about Hillary? At least she alreadyy knows where everything is. Do you think SHE will take off four and a half her first 10 months in office? Do you think SHE won't have counterintelligence briefings from Day One? Do you think either her or Obama would consider cutting the FBI's counter terrorism budget, as Bush did before Sept 11?
Bush was a below average (and DEFINITELY below Ivy League level average) student and never would have gone on to post graduate work had ONCE AGAIN his Daddy not pulled strings. Students who get "Cs" at Harvard do not move on to Yale, and vice versa, not unless you have a heavy hitter in your corner.

Never finished his Texas Air National Guard obligation, just walking away when a flight physical drug test might have revealed an embarrassing habit. Since he was considered AWOL (what the Air Force calls a "non-locatee") his local Draft Board was notified regarding his immediate eligibility to be activated overseas to Vietnam, until, once again, Daddy intervened and bailed his boy out, but AS someone who went AWOL during a time of Declared War with a Foreign Country, Bush should have been considered a Deserter and arrested.
Chairman of several businesses, Arbusto, Harkin, etc. basically ran every business he ever owned into the ground. Arbusto would have gone bankrupt if not for huge investments by the bin Laden family. Harkin Energy was getting set to post record losses and their legal staff circulated a memo to all senior management (including GWB)which advised them not to sell stock if they knew of unfavorable stock conditions. It's called "insider trading". 3 weeks later, Bush sells $848,000 worth of Harkin stock. A week after that, Harkin posts their quarterly reports, showing losses and the stock drops to half its worth. The SEC though the Bush sale was a little too conveniently timed (sorta like the Martha Stewart thing) to be believed, so they began an investigation. President George HW Bush quashed it.

I would not say they are a joke. Being elected a senator is certainly not a joke but I would not say neither of their resume's is impressive when it comes to comparing them to those of other presidents. Maybe you could rephrase your question/

Bush bankrupted every company he touched, flew jets in the guard but was AWOL 99.9% of the time, sure looking at that makes it great qualifications, I just can't understand why he isn't the greater joke.

I don't think being a senator & having 8 years experience
in the White House is a joke.
But then, just the fact Obama has been exposed to
the least amount of corruption, impresses me.
