maybe Boston, I check on Forbes that only top five teams have more current value as New York Yankees, New York Mets, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Chicago Cubs.

The most fans is te Yankees, even though they suck. The best fans are Boston, and I'm not a Red Sox fan.

When ever I go to an Angels - Yankee game (out here in CA), there are a lot of Yankee fans. If you think about it, it makes sense since the population over the years has moved from the northeast to the west and south.
Most sports fans bring their loyalties with them. It's a good thing.

Yankees hands down.
Reasons:
#1 they have the highest home attendance each year.
#2 When they travel, those teams have their highest attendances of the year. Colorado doubles their average attendance for the 3 games with the Yankees

There may be more Yankee fans but I bet my life at least 25% couldn't name 5 players on the team and what position they play.

I'd have to say The Yankees, You can go anywhere and everyone knows who they are. New York fans are the loyalist fans of all ( including Mets fans )

Yankees, just look at their merchandise sales with respect to the rest of the league. Red Sox are #2 in sales though.
