Yes, it's completely normal. At 8 months pregnant the baby is so big that it usually hurts when the baby moves. However, since your sister has placenta previa, the head of the baby can't place itself where it normally does because the placenta is in the way, it seems to have decided her hip was the spot to rest it's head.

She should call the doctor's office and ask them about it if she's worried, but it seems to be just normal pain associated with the last few weeks. It's great that she has got to 8 months with a complete previa. I work with premature babies and many are the result of placenta previa. I also had previa, but it was marginal.

It's pretty normal for some fetal movement to be uncomrfotable, p[lacenta previa or not, especially when the baby presses against your bones. It happens. But it wouldn't hurt to tell her doctor about it.

Well the placenta previa thing is a bummer, this means she will probably require a c section, but as long as she is progressing good pregnancy wise then I wouldnt worry. I'm sure the doc knows and is already doing what he/she can to help her out.

No I do not think this is normal. She should go and see her Doctor about this. It could mean something is wrong.
