Is it true that us women are always attracted to bad boys?

i've heard many people say it though today i wouldn't really agree. what do u think?

No way - I've always been a fan of good guys. I married one, and I couldn't be happier. Besides, a good boy can always *pretend* to be a bad boy - and in the morning, he'll still treat you like a princess.

More often than not, when I hear someone repeating this, it's a man who considers himself to be a Nice Guy bemoaning the fact that a woman has rejected him. Generally, said Nice Guy is looking for an excuse to behave like a jerk because he's angry at being rejected. His reasoning is that his rejection is the woman's fault because why are those women so crazy and always falling for Bad Boys and rejecting Nice Guys??

So basically no, that isn't true. Women are a diverse group of people with various desires and are attracted to an equally diverse number of qualities. And anyone who says otherwise is trying to make an excuse for something else.

I think some women have that mommy instinct that they can change them....not true at all.... I agree with juniper though, nice guys do win at the end :)

well, SOME women certainly are, I have often wondered why some of the worst guys I know were always with a stunningly gorgeous woman, no matter how badly he treated them. No accounting for taste but I also know lots of women that are with very very nice men. Best not to say always I think LOL.

I believe that the reason why women are mostly attracted to "aggressive" or "rugged" is a subconscious desire of strength and security. Think back, before women had equal rights and were treated more as eye-candy than living human beings.

Women needed strong, tough men to protect them and stand up to speak for her, since a woman could not speak out way back.

Now going even FURTHER back, in nature one must be tough to survive and females find the toughest the "alpha male" attractive.

All said and done. It's probably a sub-conscious feeling contrasting with modern ideals and society that's causing a rift in female opinion in men.

I think there are women attracted to "bad" boys, mostly because they think they (the women) can change them,(the bad boys). Usually takes two or three bad experiences before they finally figure out that they aren't going to change anyone, but themselves. Then they grow up and find something better.

I say it is a common theme; the attraction should stay just that, attraction. When a woman goes on and gets involved with a "bad boy" why is she surprized when he breaks her heart and most likely the law too? Too many TV shows involved!!!! If you know what I mean. Nana

Yes when women are going with their pure sexual urges they pick bad boys. Just like men would pick gorgious women.

But after many bad experiences, everyone wises up and looks for someone that can satisfy their needs in more than just sexually stimulating ways. Unfortunatley for me.. I'm not there yet.. so I'm lovin the hotties.

Women get attracted to bad boys when they are young but wisen up as they get older and look for the smarter ones.

It's one thing to be attracted to a bad boy, it's another to do something about it! I've usually chosen the boy next door or the girl next door, I have to like and respect my partner. I'm with a wonderful man and definitely like the bad and good boy in him, as well as the good male parts!
