I'm looking for a detailed, one-volume history of the American Revolution, ala James McPherson's history of the Civil War, "Battle Cry of Freedom." Thanks, everyone!

I do love David McCullough's work, but please note that *1776* is only about that one key year, NOT a history of the whole revolution.

Frankly, I cannot think of ANYTHING in one-volume American Revolution history's that can compete with what McPherson's *Battle Cry...* does for the Civil War. But here are a couple of good options.'

Thomas Fleming *Liberty!: The American Revolution*, 1997. Written to accompany the PBS series of the same name, it is a great coffee table book, nice illustrations, fun to pick up and read and informative

Robert Middlekauf, *The Glorious Cause: The American Revolution, 1763-1789* (Oxford History of the United States), 2nd edition, 2005. Not as much "fun", but more erudite and detailed.

for them, it would have an prolonged time in the past. they based this usa to get removed from what we are going via now. its too glaring to be attainable. thats why they're getting away with it. its all funds. we does not be at conflict stunning now if it wasnt worthwhile for particular human beings. congressmen and senators do incredibly a lot no longer something all 365 days long. in the event that they worked for a employer, they may well be fired. we enable them to ruin out with it tho, 365 days after 365 days. to me, this says all of it. ted kennedy on the ethics committee.
