Are you sure thats not the end of your period? It's possible that you might have scatched/irritaed something with the tampon. If it keeps up, go to a doctor.

If you are not used to using tampons then maybe you are not sure of how your body will react to it. One girlfriend had fogotten the tampon in her .. that is.. not pulling out the last one she used and even thought the period seemed to have finished there was still blood.. it was only by the grace of God that she did not get Toxic Shock Syndrome and died. THe tampon was in her for days and she started getting bad odours from her body and a darker thin blood coming from her body... This was really scary and even allerted me to make sure to take out my tampons during my own menstral cycle... its so easy to forget its in there or to remember if its there or not ... SOmetimes the strings may come away from teh tampon and you can think that you pulled it out but its still in there.
Make sure that you TOOK out your tampon... do a self examination or go see a doctor if you are questioning if its there or not.
OUtside of that i am not sure what to tell you about that blood coming out. It could be the size of the super absorbancy tampon or your body got abrased in some way.
if the bleeding is heavy .. really hun.. check your doctor ok:)

How do you know it is not from your period? There are some things that could cause a tear and bleeding such as using a large tampon. If that is the case you have nothing to worry about just do not insert anything in that area until you are healed.

I have noticed that happening when I finish my period. I just recently started to use tampons and sometimes I think when you are putting them in or something you can scratch the sides. If it persist go see a doctor, they will be the ones to really diagnose whats going on. Good Luck!

Go straight to your doctor. Any unusual bleeding should be checked immediately. I would say it is highly unlikely that the tampon has anything to do with it.

you might have infected your self by leaving the tampon in too long, i use pads because i have a heavy flow and i dont feel comfortable with the chances of getting a infection from the tampon.

how long did you leave the tampon in? did you change them out frequently? leaving a dirty tampon in way too long can cause complications and make you ill. i would go to the doctor if you don't stop bleeding.

is it brown?? it is old blood from your period and it´s normal, and no you cannot damage yourself with a tampon, not to bleed, maybe you pulled it strongly and you bled again but it´s a self defense from your vagina dn the posibilities you gut hurt are minimum, good luck ;D
