i am a professional henna artist in los angeles. both henna and airbrush are temporary and each has its charms. airbrush tattoos look more like ink tattoos and come in a variety of colors. but they are often more generic looking and do not last as long. henna is all natural and often hand-drawn and designed just for you. henna is aromatheraputic and a good skin conditioner. a henna tattoo will also last longer; a week or more in most cases. i like the traditional designs in henna and the cultural ties it has as an art form. you may find both airbrush tattooists and henna artists at many beachy places like venice or santa monica, but you may also want to look online for a company or artist that can paint you privately. it may be more expensive, but the quality of work is typically worth it. i also suggest throwing a henna party with your friends so that the cost is divided up amongst you. i work independently as well as with a company. just do a google search for henna artist sin your area. you'll have the best luck in a bigger city.

Henna is better than anything else. You can get it from the Arabian or Indian stores!
