All I see after the logo is gone is a black screen saying NO CABLE. The vga cable is new and it works well with another computer that I have. What can be the problem? Any ideas?

right click on the screen, scroll down to properties, click desktop and put a wallpaper on your monitor, did the old cable do this?do you have all connections connected right, start over and go threw the process again, is the cable compatible with the monitor and PC? i also suggest you do a virus scan

Hi. If there really WAS no cable you would not see the logo either. Boot in safe mode and run virus scans and malware scans.

There is probably something wrong with the port if it works fine with other computers. You might want to take it to the geek squad.
