Bush does not despise the troops. You have to at least care to despise. He just sees the troops as a tool. They are not human they are a thing to be used by the President. Have you ever seem any emotion out f that guy? He's a robot. Same with Cheney. Same as Clinton...no heart
I spent the 4th with my lawnmower doesn't mean I care about it.

He's anti military and pro fascist! Most Americans pay lip service when it comes to the troops, but when it comes to money or health care we have always screwed them!
We screwed them, those from the military made to ring nuclear blasts who got cancer, to agent orange and blue, to the Gulf War sickness and now depleted uranium sickness. The government still doesn't admit to anything because they don't want to pay!
Bush cuts Veterans hospitals by 100 BILLION while they are trying to treat 105, 000 Iraqi vets and gives tax cuts to those that make around a million to 26.5 MILLION a year.
And corporate welfare is having a field day while our troops still don't have armored vehicles!

Because the military is mainly made up of middle class American and G dubbya and his constituents hate the middle class They only want to appeal to their base, their major campaign contributors, " the haves" and "the have mores." These are the only people they care about. It's not like Georgie ever spent real time in the military, he just likes to play dress up like the time he said "major combat operations in Iraq have ended," on May 2, 2003 Aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln.

I'm from the UK where it's mostly agreed that the US are the "World Policemen" who stick their noses into other countries problems 'Gun-hoe!!' George 'double-U' is on his way out , after 2 terms in Government. I doubt very much whether a new Leader would be any different.

What a dumb thing to say. He believes that the mission he has sent those troops to do is just and right - whether it is or not- he believes it is. Your opinion is apparently that he despises them because he has given the orders that put them in harm's way? How many presidents have not sent troops somewhere during their presidency? How many of them sent them on a mission that was deemed in hindsight to be foolish? Your entitled to your opinion but you'll get farther by being civil in your arguments than by making sarcastic remarks that conjure images of our President twirling his mustache and sending the troops off to die.

Since he was allowed to go AWOL with no penalty, from an outfit that was insured against going into combat, he thinks people in combat zones are stupid, and has said so.
Firm belief in Social Darwinism, but the nagging realization in the back of his brain that they are his betters.

he doesn't. he just wants to help our country. if we did nothing about the terriorist attack then they'd think they won. besides, there is sopposed to be another terrorist attack soon and our troops could possibly stop that. i'm only 13 but i have a very strong opinion about this topic.
