I do believe in it and no I don't follow it all the time. No one is going to learn from their mistakes if you don't confront them with the problem. But there is a way of doing it nicely and not doing it so nicely and that will make all the difference in the world and make up the other person's mind of what they think of you in the future. If you start screaming and yelling at the person for a mistake they made and don't even bother to discuss it calmly first, that is very immature and I wouldn't want to speak with the person again would you? However if they were calm and rational and seemed like the were wanting to help then fine, I can deal with that.

Yes I do, very much so. But I would be lying if I said that I follow it all the time. We are all human, and sometimes even our best can be put to the test. Some times some one can say something that makes me so angry that I speak before I think. Or if someone is deliberately rude I will respond. Like yesterday one person said that all the girls should leave the computer and read a book, I suggested the he read a book on manors.

I really try to follow that as a rule. But sometimes a question will come up that's really off the wall or offensive, stereo typing people or saying bad against all muslims because of the few fanatics. Then I speak my mind.

I do believe in that saying. No, I don't follow it all the time because there is a time & place for everything. When I am with people who know me well, I can say anything & they know I am just venting. But around people who don't know me, I keep my negative comments to myself. Life is easier for me that way. No sense starting drama that I don't want in the first place!

My notorious sister in law forgot to practice this saying and it busted up the relationship between three brothers...
We all have times where we say something a little demeaning like she is not all that great!
I follow it. I have seen the damage the above caused and really dont want to hurt anyone.

I agree with it but I dont always follow it because I have a lot of pent up anger and I blurt out the wrong things at the wrong times. Its a lot to explain but don't worry, I am genuinely nice more often especially to good people :)

Its hard to follow that saying, because it is basically saying hold your tongue. There are some times when you just feel like you will explode if you don't tell someone off. But we really should follow that rule more often

Yes, I believe in it. Unfortunately, I have faltered from it from time to time and I have regretted it. Some people I have felt have earned it but I have felt bad later. Itis a true maxim that people should live by every day.
