My aunt was fired today from Wendy's she work there for 12 years and today she had an extra 20 in her drawer they fired her. The manager gave her keys to my aunt so she could recount the drawer and it was over. What can she do now, this seems very wrong.

For some of you bozo's read she was over NOT short

The customer gave her a hundred dollar bill, she gave the change to him, he said you gave me to much she said are you sure, the customer counted it again and she went to get manager but he was in a hurry so it's not short changing some either.

a $20 overage in the till means either she sold an order that never got entered, or money was moved between two registers, or someone did not get change , or the register had too much money to start.

It seems odd to me that a cashier would get fired for a one time event. She should protest her firing in writing to the manager.

Have her plead her case with the next in command/ unless she has a bad history, which is doubtful for a 12 year employment duration (or wouldn't have made it so far). People make mistakes for Gosh sakes and whomever it was also has an obligation to make sure change is correct.

It's not like she put it in her pocket..........

Maybe there was other things about her performance that caused them to fire her.

Maybe she doesn't want to work at that dumb place now anyway, so she should just move on, without thinking she's a victim. People change jobs all the time, for various reasons.

It seems to me there must be something more to it than one instance of extra money in the till. Businesses rarely fire 12 year employees over such a trivial thing.

Getting fired for having an extra 20? I would think it would be the other way around. Well, can't do much.
