I'm writing a novel about werewolves and vampires. I need a good last name for my main character Angelica Layne .... Just to give you an idea about her... She lives near the beach and works at the local flea market. She does not drink from people's necks, but can be found at the blood bank at the hospital, where she has a friend there who is nice enough to help the girl out. She is self cofident and very sarcastic. She has long wavy fiery red hair and wears a lot of tipical vampire black, which she calls her contribution to the vampire society. Please help...I was going to go with Ickleburg... Come on I'm dying here...

How about: Angelica Layne Sangue...or Angelica Layne Sanguine
Angelica Layne Sanguis..or Angelica Layne Sangria
Angelica Layne Hemo-Sanque...Or Angelica Layne Von Hemo-Sanque.

Sangue is the Italian name for blood
Sanguis is the Latin for Blood
Hemo is the Root Word for Blood in Greek (English Hemoglobin for Blood)

I myself like Angelica Layne Sanque.. it all flows smooth from the lips and Angelica,The Spaniard of Angela sounds also Latin or Italian and it goes well with Sangue in Italian or Sanguis in Latin.

Good Luck

That kind of names is really lame. How old is she? 100 Years, 200? find a relevant character in history from the time she was born. Maybe she was the lost illegitimate daughter of Jefferson or Washington or even the victim that Jack the Ripper couldn't kill... go with something like that.

Try using the US Census Bureau's list of surnames. You can surf through the list starting with the most common - Jones, Smith, and go all the way down. Mine is like 15 thousand something. The lower down the list, the more unusual and unique the name. It is a great source for names. Keep it bookmarked. Just google Census Bureau list of surnames. Pax- C
