I have this router set up in my living room and I am trying to access the internet on my ps3 in my room which is not even 150 feet away from the router, yet I can only get about 1 or 2% signal strength (If I get lucky because it does not detect it at times). How can I increase the signal strength to my room.

By the way, I think two of my walls between the living room and my room are made out of concrete. And I cannot knock them down.

Is it true that the ps3 does not support N wireless connection? Will I be better off with a Wireless-G Linksys with speedbooster?

Do I have any other options?

The masonry walls are the problem. It is impractical to remove them, you don't want to use your ps3 near the router, and the unlicensed radio will not penetrate the masonry. Other brands will not help either.

Move the ps3 or run a wired connection to the ps3 or run a wired connection from the wired router LAN port to your room and install a wireless access point in your room.

I think your PS3 is really far from the router.

Wireless N should still be backwards compatible with Wireless G and Wireless B.

Navigate inside your router's pages and look for an option for it to use G-only instead of buying a dedicated G router.

The 229.658793 feet advertised distance is only true if there are no obstacles at all. In short, there's a direct line of sight between your router and your PS3

Knock out the walls that are made of concrete or move the router into your room. You might try buying a wireless reciever that connects with a cable that you could buy an extention to so you could put the reciever in the hallway or some place that the signal wouldn't have to go through walls or not as many.

1) Try to move the router or the antenna orientation on the router.

2) Wifi N is backwards compatible with G and B, so that should not be an issue.

I hope this helps !
