Each person has got interest in something particular. Some people have interest in games, some in movies, some in reading etc. In games too interest from person to person differs. While some show interest in cricket, others show interest in baseball, football, basket ball, hocky etc. It is very difficult to say as to why one particular person has interest in one particular game..

I like cricket because I don't know much about other sports. I make money watching cricket and I consider making money is fun.

Um, well the English find it rather fun.
I guess it's like golf (i hate that too).
You put the ball, and get it through some thingys.
The fun part is mainly being with acquaintances is
my guess.
