The system was different. I taught math in the high schools in NY, but I'm originally from KY. So I was in an algebra I, 2, geometry setup.

Algebra I covers everything up to y = mx+b
Algebra II covers y= (x-2)*(2x+3) and graphing more complex systems of graphs, solving more difficult algebra

Geometry covers Pythagorean theorem, distance formula, congruence and similar triangles, generally simple proofs, and hopefully more some difficult area and perimeter proofs to get your mind ready for harder concepts.

If you feel confident, ask to test out of both. You do have some foundations in both.

Let me know if I can help you more with this!

Math A/B covers topics on geometric proofs. I remember Math B reviews some algebra and covers trigonometry.

Here are links that have the syllabus for Math A and Math B.
