I am 18 weeks pregnant, teaching summer camp, and interviewing for new elementary teaching positions. How do I keep this up without getting fired from my current job. I was told today that "I am pushing it" I havn't even told them about my interviews on Wednesday yet.

Wednesday July 11 - 2 interviews one at 11AM and one at 3PM
Monday July 16 - Dr. appt to find out sex of baby
Monday July 23 -regular check up at Dr's

What do I do? Should I quit my current job and take a midnight position where I have off during the day to go to interviews and doctor appointments and risk getting fired from where I am? I also cannot stand my current job.

They can't fire you for doctor's appointments. Period.
If you hate it that much then quit, but only if you will still be okay financially. Why are you interviewing for a job as a teacher when you will have to leave at the beginning of the schoolyear? That seems strange. You'll manage. We all do.

I've been on all sides of the difficulty. If a stroll-in is available in you'll provide an explanation for the general practitioner is thoroughly booked and present to time table an appointment for the next day to come. Let sufferers know the way some distance in the back of the general practitioner is, perhaps they may be able to come again in half-hour or an hour. A quality contact is also loose smooth beverages and occasional within the ready room. Plus newspapers and new magazines-now not 6 month historic problems. My sons orthodontist has had the equal magazines for over a 12 months! The toughest time for me used to be ready whilst my son used to be a child/baby. It used to be rough maintaining a fussy baby occupied for an hour or extra.

If you can't stand your current job, definately leave. That stress isn't good for you or the baby. You are entitled to a lunch break every day, so just make sure your appts are at lunch time. Don't opt for the midnight job though, you need your rest for the growing baby!

Well first you are PG, so long as you are fulfilling your responsibilities they can't fire you for going to dr. appt. But why so many doctors appts? @ 18 weeks you should still be on a monthly appt. cycle. I always scheduled my doctors appt on a slow day during lunch...so they knew that I may or maynot need a longer lunch break.
And you are going for interviews anyway, what do you care what they think?

Just as everyone else has said they cannot fire you for missing work to attend Dr's Appts-it's illegal. If you aren't happy with your job then I say you should find something else, preferrably something that lets you be more flexible to attend Dr's appts-most places understnad this and can work around them! Good luck to you!

If you can't stand your current job, I can guarantee you that your employer already knows this. Quit before you get fired.

This is all I have to say: They can not fire you because you have doctors appointments. You may feel bad about all the appointments, but don't
