If it has survived into the present day intact, which is EXTREMELY unlikely, it is very likely in Ethiopia in one of their subterranean churches. There is some evidence it was secreted there about 1200 years ago.

Why the hell would the US Government keep the decayed remnants of the 10 commandments in an Air Force bunker. Think about it, ok?

Some say the Ark is located in Ireland, near the Hill of Tara ancient home of the Irish High Kings. Others claim it's in Glastonbury, UK. Still other cite pretty good evidence that it's hidden in a monastery in North Africa. (The monks refuse to allow anyone into the monastery, but this could simply be one of the rules of the order and have no connection to the Ark.) As for Area 51, well, anything could be in there....most likely it is more related to high tech espionage activities and scientific research than to Biblical archaeology.

Actually there is more than one ark. My BF went on missions to the Middle East to retrieve TWO of them; he belongs to a military order of the Knights Templar. One ark was broken and nonfunctional; the other is now stashed away deep in a cavern in Canada somewhere to keep it out of the reach of the Vatican. You have to be specially trained to go near them and handle them, otherwise you 'lose your mind"; they have a deranging effect on the thought processes.

could be possible, but probably unlikely. there was an author here in the UK who proposed that the ark was hidden on another dimension to be kept out of reach until the time was right.

since officially neither of them exist, there is no way to tell. unofficially i think they would have put it somewhere else better to not put all your eggs in one basket. that way if one were to be discovered there would be less of a problem in covering it up.
