it depends, are your periods regular? in other words have you been having issues with you mentral cycle before this? Have you ever gone a month or more without your periods before?

if so-see a doctor, your menstral cycle may just be irregular, especially if your new to it.

if not-pregnancy may be a possibility, in that case I would do two things, one-I would get a pregnancy test like clear blue easy or E.P.T (search which one is more reliable) take that and see what the results are and then I would see a doctor.

In either case you should really see a doctor. Good luck!

it depends...if you have been stressing alot..and having high anxiety..then yes it causes people to prolong thier periods "means to not have them for a while". Another reason could be that you are pregnant. The only other thing i can think of is that if you are new to having periods..it takes your first two years before your period gets to a normal stage...you can go to the doctores and let them see whats wrong...but i would take a pregnancy test and see what that says first.

if you havent had sex, yes it can be bad.
but...if you had sex, go out and buy a pregnancy test & see if you're gonna have a baby.

if you are a very active person...like an athlete, that can also be the reason why you havent had a period in a while.

either way, go to the doctor.

You should have your period every month. There are a number of factors that could cause you to miss your period. Number 1 is of course pregnancy. After pregnancy you need to think about these things:
1. Stress/anxiety
2. Anorexia
3. Excessive exercise
4. Polycystic ovarian syndrome
5. Thyroid problems
6. Pituitary problems

see a doctor.

Two women in my family are very irregular with their period. My sister is still a virgin and sees hers maybe a few times a year... missing months at a time. This is NOrmal for her but if you are normally regular then i'd seek out my ob.gyn and get checked out.
You need to rule out pregnancy, but if thats not the case then seeing if in your mother's side if there is a history of " long missed period" then maybe its something Normal to your family.
still.. talk to your doctor

If you have had your period longer than 2-3 years, than this is normal.

Stress, excersise, and other factors can cause this
..But three monthes is quite a long time period.
Your best guess is to see the doctor.
Good luck.

Not necesarrily but it could be. You need to go to the dr. It could be simple irregularity or something more. No need to worry yourself sick about it. Just make the appointment.

O jeesh people. There are lots of things that cause missed periods that don't involve pregancy. *sigh*

Irregularity is generally a big concern for doctors unless it lasts 6 months but after 3 your should be checked.

Go to the doc.

If you're not pregnant (hey, I don't know your sitch, but y'know, that might be it) you may have polycystic ovary syndrome or some kind of reproductive issue.

And if you have PCOS, when you finally do have a period, it'll suck, hardcore.

Get it checked out. PCOS can be controlled somewhat with meds and whatnot, but not if you don't know what you have. See what's going on.
