Yes, and Hi! It's called ,"Deadline". I have the very same problem. I'd never put poison down if my baby could get to it. Dead line is a liquid, and doesn't interest dogs. They cant eat it , you just use a couple of drops under a bush, and the snails and slugs make a bee-line to it.(The Dog can't eat it that is) Be safe around our loved ones ,Mines Barking at me now, she hates me to use the computer! I'd better go play with her,Bye.

I used to have the same problem except the dog was my neighbor's and not mine, I used the toxic slug pellets, but I put them under good sized decorative rocks. The dogs could not get to the pellets and slugs go under rocks in the daytime. This seem to work and my neighbor's dog never bothered the rocks.

if you just want to keep them out of your flowerbed ect. try crushed dry egg shells, the edges are sharp and cut the slugs this will discourage them, if you have a lot of slugs you may want to mix the egg shells with some salt (table salt will work ) and sprinkle on flower beds or use as a border, make sure you turn any stones or yard ornaments and give the slug eggs you find under them a dash or two of salt as well. and it is safe for your pets...

Ever try beer? Suppose to put it on a tray or dish. They'll climb into and drink themselves to death. Heard to do this over night where you have them in your yard. Course you would have to keep the dog away from it.
