From whatever side you're coming from. What, specifically, would it take to end racism (for you personally, at least)? And please, give specific and practical answers. There is no way for me to go into the past and change history, so lets focus on moving forward instead of backwards.I'm talking about indivuduals, not as a society- things that one person can do or not do to start healing the rift. What do people need to do before you'll let whatever grudge you have go?

I will be a racist until such time as the various races stop doing things to distinguish themselves.

Answer these questions honestly:
The best kids in your high school math class were all ____.
White collar crime is committed primarily by ____.
____ immigrate to the USA, then don't bother learning English or teaching it to their kids.
____ are the best basketball players and track/field athletes.

Did you answer any of the questions above with a racial category? If so, you're a racist too.

One more thing, about prejudice:

a) Not all tigers are maneaters.
b) Even a maneater isn't hungry all the time.
c) Still, when you see a tiger walking toward you on the sidewalk, you cross to the other side of the street.

Just ignore it! As long as people get so offended by it and let it bother them and make a media spectacle out of someone saying "*******" it is never going to end. And this is not just for the word "*******" either, all offensive words to any group. just ignore it, the people who use these words against people want the reaction that they get. They don't say these words then hope that they and the person they offend will pick daisies together and prance along. They want to offend someone. It is like the bully in school, as long as you let them bother you they are going to keep harrassing you, as soon as you ignore them they get bored and move on. Take the Isiah Washington situation, he called a guy a "f.*****" it gets blown out of proportion, it is a gay rights violation. Then he gets fired and he turns it around and it is called racist and it is a black rights violation. What happened to freedom of speech? Why is it that anything that is done, it offends at least one person? IGNORE IT

For example: If I were to call Tbigz a stupid *******, then he would get upset and it would start a big argument on here and I would be threatened to be kicked off of yahoo. Or he could ignore it and it would simply go away.

The "Thought Police" might be of great help. But since that's impractical, maybe we should address the amount of publicity a few race-card players get. Minimizing their outspoken views would be a godly service to all mankind.

Off the top of my head, lets start with Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. Mr. Sharpton in particular is always first out of the gate at promoting racist attitudes.

When people are ready to say as you just did "man's inhumanity to man has been since the beginning of time"
So realizeing that let's move on and start by healing the gap.
Black people could stop trying to be rebellious. The ones I know are not and we are close friends. But some write rap songs of violence and hate and scare tactics and call each other horrible names that white people would be thrown in jail for saying or should be anyway.
Start by looking around at the intelligent black comunity that stands out as examples for everyone. Like Denzel Washington, Opray Winfrey, bill Cosby, You would never hear them calling each other or other black people names.
they speak good english and don't try to be rebellious or cool.
Yes, some white people are horrible and say terrible things to you. They do the same things to children raised as native Americans. Big chief, or are you his little squaw?
Who do you root for in cowboy and indian movies?
They come up with HOW!
Don't you think that Mexicans get it to. Bean eaters, or taco eaters or anything else they can think of to call them.
Then what about Chinese or Korean or my girl friend from Vietnam. We all get teased about something but you know why they do it?
Because we let it bother us. When it stops bothering you they will stop doing it.
You know why we don't call they whitey? or say "hay your white" Because they don't care.
they don't care what you call them.
That is the solution, don't care what they call you.
When they say , "hay your black" Say "yes and I am so glad do you know we get a lot less skin cancer."
When they say "Hay your an Indian" I say isn't it wonderful that Indian men don't have to shave?
Or white people have to lay out in the sun all day to get a tan like I was born with.
Either that or do like the Sunni and Shiite and kill all the white people. Since I am married to one of them I can't do that.
Like Rodney King said, "can't we all just get along"
I know I will be hung as a liberal.
But can't you control freaks just chill out and let the rest of us live?

Nothing. People are always going to be partial to their own race and that is natural. But if you are white, and proud to be so, then you are racist but if you are any other race and proud, then that is just being proud of your heritage. I don't think it will ever stop in our lifetime. When I was born, everyone was treated equally and had their rights, although the interracial dating wasn't seen as much but I've never done anything to nobody and I feel as though I shouldn't suffer for the sins of people who were not even my ancestors - because my ancestors were too poor to have slaves!

properly the final step to take is to understand we are all human. And no person is ever fairly that diverse from yet another.the sentiments you sense they sense.Your already on the proper song.shop your eyes open and seem into the guy itself and percieve that they too are purely what they're no longer something greater and not something much less.start up interacting greater with diverse human beings and races.and you will like being open minded.additionally you could ask somebody to definitely inform you what they think of of you and you will understand the pointlessness of all inequality, this is purely a speed bump in existence slowing you down.
