For the candle wax on the carpet you need to put down paper towels over the wax, and run your iron over that. i.e., melt the wax and blot it up with paper towels. Remember to change the paper towels as the wax is absorbed. This information came from a carpet cleaner.

A. Try putting an ice pack on the spot and that should freeze it so you can pick it out of your carpet.

A. I had success in removing red wax from beige carpet by folding several white paper towels over the wax area and applying a warm iron to the paper towels. As the wax melts the paper towel absorb the wax. You may need to change the paper towels several times to get up all the wax. My carpeting is beige again!!!

A. According to a pamphlet I have left from our carpet cleaning business, scrape off excess wax with a dull knife. Lay a paper towel over the wax and with a blow dryer, blow hot air on the towel. The heat will melt the wax and the towel will absorb it. Clean with a solvent cleaner (like De-Solv-It) if a spot remains.

A. This is for the person with a pool of WAX on the new wall to wall CARPET. I found this in a book titled: Talking Dirty with the Queen of Clean by Linda Cobb. Put ice in a plastic bag and lay it over the wax, allowing it to freeze. Chip off all the wax that you can. Next, lay down brown paper over the wax (a grocery bag works great; use the area without the writing) and press with a medium / hot iron. Move the paper as it absorbs so that you don't re-deposit the wax on the carpet. Have patience and continue as long as any wax shows up on the bag. Next, apply a good carpet stain remover.

I think this should do the trick. Some more thing to remeber :

Now that your carpet is free of candle wax, take care to prevent similar accidents in the future:

1. Buy high-quality candles; petroleum-based candles are prone to dripping and contain stain-producing additives.

2. Beeswax candles—normally dripless—can drip if they are burning in a draft. Position burning candles away from open windows, fans, or heater vents.

3. Set the candle in a candleholder large enough to contain any spills.

4. Do not blow out your candles; instead use a snuffer. A great substitute for a proper candle snuffer is a shot glass or juice glass held over the wick until the flame is out.

5. If you have just snuffed a candle, don't move it until the wax has solidified.

Good luck with your wax cleanup!

Take a paper towel or a dry wash cloth or some kind of absorbant cloth that can take the heat. Scrape off as much of the wax as you can. Then Heat up the iron or I like to use a hair dryer. Blow on or heat up the wax if using an iron put the cloth down first so you don't burn your carpet do this slowly keep moving the cloth so you get up all the wax. For the hair dryer heat up the wax and then use a paper towel to pick up the melted wax keep doing this till the wax is gone.

Pick out all the chunks that you can, but be careful you don't pull tufts of carpet up with the wax. Then get brown paper, like an old paper grocery sack, and put it on the wax. Heat the backside of the paper gently with an iron. As the wax melts, it will soak into the paper. Repeat as necessary until the wax is gone.

Put brown paper ( like a grocery bag) on the wax and use an iron to pull it up off the carpet. If any residue is left you can use Goop(at any supercenter).

The same thing actually happened to me and my fiance's mom told me that if you freeze it( with ice) it hardens and it actually just crumbles...then you can vacuum it up or whatever...it really works though. You have to make sure its really frozen though....good luck!!
