his name was robert dudley and the intimacy with elizabeth didn't start until she became queen and that was when they were both in their 20s or maybe early 30s but definetely not when she was 14. Dudley was only a friend when she was 14. Seymour was the first one and that didnt stick as she and Dudley eventually became intimate and started another scandal because he was married.

I believe that when she was 14, it was rumored that she was more intimate than she should be with Thomas Seymour, who was the new husband of her stepmother, Catherine Parr. I don't think Dudley came into the picture as a romantic interest until later. In any case, Dudley and Elizabeth were roughly the same age, with Dudley being born 24 June 1532 or 1533, and Elizabeth being born 7 September 1533.

Actually Dudley was the same age, or one year older than Elizabeth I. He was born between June 24 1532 or 1533. Elizabeth was born in September 7 1533. They were childhood friends. I guess does feelings grew over the years but not at 14. At 14 there was a scandal but it was with Thomas Seymour

I don't know, but I love the story of Elizabeth. Have you seen the movie? I am sure you have. It was wonderful. Also, The madness of King George was great as well as the story of Queen Victoria (forgot the name of the movie)

In those times, it was not at all unusual for people to be married by the time they were 14. Remember that life expectancy was much shorter in those days.
