I bought seasons 1, 2, and 5 on uncut DVDs. But I've only watched season 5 in full; I've only watched certain episodes of seasons 1 and 2 on these DVDs. On the positive side, they do show everything on these DVDs, including the season 5 thing of the male Three Lights turning into female sailor soldiers. On the negative side, the season 5 DVDs didn't subtitle every spoken line - I could tell there were some untranslated lines. But it was still worth it to find out what happened in the never-dubbed season 5. My favorite on these DVDs would probably have to be season 1.

I've purchased them. A couple of the seasons from various Amazon.com sellers, and a couple others from eBay.

On the plus side, they are uncut and show everything as originally broadcast.

On the minus side, the subtitles are not so good for the episodes that were never dubbed in English. (A lot of cheap import DVDs are that way; you get used to misspellings and broken English subtitles.)

I've got season 5 (stars) on uncut dvd. I bought it on the internet from Canada. Season 5 is good, but they never explained the whole 'guys turning into girls' thing...

I didn't get it but if it is uncut it means it has not be modified or altered in any way. They only fixed translation issues and that is all. You can expect it to be as close as the japanese release.
I think they only released only 2 or 3 uncut seasons.
