I want to make sure my SKYPE (and skypein number) does not show up on the caller ID of people I call via SKYPE. SKYPE help says to go sign in to your SKYPE account, go to Caller identification section, and change the 'setup' function to 'off.' Trouble is I can't FIND any 'caller identification section.' Anybody help?

I think this will help -

How do I set my sender ID?

Recipients of your SMS will see the first 11 characters from your Skype name when they receive an SMS. (For example: if your Skype name is ‘thisismyskypename’, your contacts will see ‘thisismysky’)

However, you can change this sender ID to your mobile number and allow recipients to reply to your mobile number directly. To do this, you will need to validate your mobile number

To validate your mobile number go to Tools > Options > SMS Messages and follow the steps described.. When you complete these steps, you will receive an SMS to your mobile with a confirmation code, which you need to enter in Skype to validate your mobile. Once this is done, all SMS message you send from Skype will show your mobile number as the sender ID.

Please note: For SMS sent to mobile phones in USA, China and Taiwan, neither Skype name nor validated mobile number are displayed. Instead, these SMS will have generic, pre-defined numbers as sender ID.
