Sort of like, if a tree falls in the woods, but there's nobody around to hear it, does it make a sound?

Yes it is because any time a grand slam is played it is still relevant.

Are you referring to the male player from the U.S. of A.?
Why would his elimination make the tournament irrelevant? He was never even a sure bet for the final. No one has ever doubted that the final would be disputed between two men from a European country -that's where the tennis scene has been now for a long time, like it or not. That is where the exciting players are coming from. And one day it will be from Asia or Africa. Actually the only relevant players coming from America right now are the Argentines and a Chilean or two. But from the U.S. of A.,nope!

Mind you that Tennis is not only an American sport, but it is a world sport. No one expected any male American to be in
the finals.....Roddick had his chances and missed semis entry, which would have made seeded 1-2-3-4 entries.
of course, for me Roger and Nadal would be a great final.
Roger should win it in 4 sets at the most. Nadal is a clay king and will win many more clay tournaments.

Are you kidding? This is Wimbledon we're talking about, not the French Open. It's always going to be relevant, no matter who plays.

And, for the record, not all of the American men have been eliminated. The Bryans are in the semis for Men's Doubles.

Of course it is still relevent. I wasn't expecting any american men in the final. so its not a surprise to me. the final will be nadal vs federer again. i think nadal might actually win this.
