to those who saw the new transformers movie, what did you think of it? was it better/worse than the original that came out in august 1986 (if you were old enough to see it)?
i thought the movie was awesome, better action, bigger ************ robots, megan fox (grrrr) :-P

take it from a guy that was around when it first came out in the early 80's
my first guy was soundwave with laserbeak...
anyways...
of course the new movie was way better than the cartoon because the special effects allowed the interaction for live movie... back in the 80's well look at tron with the soundtrack score and you'll understand..
but it was a bit harder like a few post said because of characters from different generation,
my generation had scorponok as a head master, he was a super *** huge scorpion who;s head transform into a little guy.. which had a human integrated into the system running the show.. (hey at that time it was awesome, look a ft. maximus)..
megatron was a gun, than a tank, than a dinosaur, than a dragon...
I really wish the gave him his super cannon, that was the trademark of megatron...
frenzy was part of generation one, he was a cassette along wiht ravage, laserbeak, buzzsaw and rumble..
sorry rambling off a old nerd..
but the 2007 movie was way better.. action, hey even civilian's and soliders were getting killed..
jablonsky did the soundtrack score better with an orchestra than vince dicola wiht the synizethers like an 80's montauge movie..

The movie in '86 remeber as a cartoon and it was great. I was kind of disappointed that they used transformers from each era. It was kind of confusing because minicons did not come until later. Also I remember megatron mostly as being a tank not a plane as he was in the movie. It was great to see them in action but I would have liked to seen more transformers maybe I will get my wish in the next movie. Starscream made it out so I know they are going to make a sequel.

I thought it was awesome and even better than the cartoon one that was released in the 80's. Better effects, better robots and cooler action sequences. And let's not forget the sexy Megan Fox

I think it was the best transformers they could have made. I was afraid that it was going to destroy childhood nostalgia all over the country. I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the movie. You cannot compare it to the original for so many reasons. The original was the original, animated, colorful, original designs, etc. Kudos to Michael Bay for representing well.

Yeah I'm transforming but not in a movie. Male to female it's much better than a movie can ever be. And it doesn't involve robots; it involves live warm, soft and tender human flesh.

batman a hundred% beta and that i luved transformers. however the joker made the action picture in any different case it wuld have been poo. and im nt reali prepared on comedian books. even nonetheless i admire the movies.
