Synapses and bio-chemical electrical connections. Then there is the recruitment of cell activity, the breakdown of stimuli into bio-chemical reactions, association, recuitment, then POP! you either act or blow a circuit. (Just kidding about the circuit).

Very simple really, by electrons. Muscles and nerves are sent electrical stimulation and the produces elctricty and neutrons which are firing off all the time even when yer asleep. Consider for a moment, the brain never completely rest, its moniters your breathing an so forth without you being aware of it!
