Every body is getting older every day, every hour, every minute, every second from the time of his/her birth.
But being old is something else, which can not always be related to remembering what happened 25 yrs ago. Bcoz life span is like the diametre of a circle.
It starts from one point of the circumference of the circle, passes along the diametre thru the centre & ends at the other end of the diametre.
When we cross the centre point, then only we can say that we are getting older & nobody knows what age is the centre point of his life.

No I didn't know that, and it isn't 'suddenly' when I remember something that happened 25 years ago, actually I think of getting old when I forgot what I got up to go get!

I was just having this discussion the other day! My kids and I were watching the Wedding Singer, and wanted to know why so much of it was funny--(Van Halen broke up because the psycho wore the shirt, for example) and didn't know who Van Halen (gasp) was or who Billy Idol was, except that he must be a singer.. Adam Sandler is driving a Pacer and I said see! that's what we drove in the last gas crisis! She says "there was another one?" I told her the ultimate shocker and she said I was lying: I can remember when there wasn't cable television!

I can remember 65 years ago when the second World War was raging and our city, Liverpool, was being bombed. The house next door was hit and I remember the crash as the roof collapsed.

You kidding me? I suddenly realized I was getting old when I saw you post this and I said to myself, "Wasn't I in the middle of answering a question of his like 45 minutes ago? What happened to it?" And then I found it in another open window on my computer half way finished........ I really suck. lol **runs off to go finish her other answer*
