Technically, you can do a pregnancy test any time. If you are testing to see if you've gotten pregnant during this month, tests on the market claim that they can detect a pregnancy 5 days before your period is scheduled to arrive.

My best friend used the new "Clearblue Easy Digital" Pregnancy test, and discovered that she was in fact pregnant, 4 days before she was to have her period. It worked for her, but I have heard people say that they've tested before a their period, gotten a "negative" result, only to find out later that they were pregnant.

If you're going to test early, remember that it's important to test when you first wake up because the hormone concentration will be strongest.

Hope this is slightly helpful....most of the pregnancy tests on the market also have websites.

As long as you waited to weeks from the day you ovulated then you can test. Wish you luck.

It's best to wait until you've misssed a period, but most will tell you a few days before it's due as well.
