You can miss 2 pills and get pregnant. Ho ever if you are trying it's usually suggested that you wait until you've had a period off the pill before trying so that the pregnancy can be accurately dates. The first time I went off the pill after being on it 7 years and I ovulated 14 days later (I use ovulation tests) and so my period came back right away. The 2nd time I went off the pill after being on it for 9 months, it took me a month before I ovulated, so my period was delayed a bit.

As soon as you stop taking the pill you are at risk of pregnancy. The pill works by stopping you ovulating.when you stop taking the pill the body switches back on and you can become pregnant. The problem is however there is no way of knowing when your body switches back on!! I have known people who stopped the pill and became pregnant that month.Others have had to waite as long as a year before achieving a natural pregnancy. What I normally suggest is to stop taking the pill but use a condom(I know it sounds strange) until you have had 3 normal periods.keep a record of your dates and then try for a pregnancy. The reason for this is that you then know that your body has recovered from being on the pill. Some women find that their first few periods are irregular and maybe lighter and pain free. This can indicate that these periods were anovulatory-that is they did not ovulate.Good luck

With my third child, I quit taking the pill the end of November 02, had my first "off pill period" Dec. 1 '02 and got a positive test on Jan. 1st!!!!!
Everyone had told me it would take about 3 months to get pregnant when I got off the pill and it happened the very next month!
I think it varies from women to women. It just depends on timing, how long you've been on the pill, how fertile you are etc.
Best wishes!

Depends...some people can forget to take one pill one day and end up pregnant, other people can take up to a year afterwards to get knocked up. It took me four months of being off the pill to conceive. Hope this helps!

usually doctors say a few months, but I've seen people miss a few pills and get pregnant. It depends on how fertile you and your partner are, and your cycles, etc.
If your trying the best advice I can give is to have alot of sex, and calculate your ovulation..Good luck!

everyone is different, but usually a couple of months since your cycle has to get back to an unmedicated rythmn. But I've heard of women getting pregnant while ON the pill so who knows....
