Not as acceptable as dating one closer to your own age, perhaps, but social mores are fairly flexible these days. Heck, it's becoming acceptable to do the reverse, as well.

There are myriad things that are unacceptable socially, but that is precisely why many of us suffer through the many stages of social development. I firmly believe that as long as you are not breaking the law, imposing yourself on others, or hurting yourself or others, do what feels right to you. Who really cares what society thinks or opines. There are many social norms that are outdated, very biased, or based on moral beliefs that have no validity in every day life. There are certain factors you, as an individual, has to put on the scale when dating someone twice your age. Consider the distinct levels of maturity, stamina, your tastes in music, your professions, and the like instead of considering what society
deems correct or acceptable!

It depends on the age of the two involved. For example, a 30 year old should expect statutory rape charges if he's dating a 15 year old, and if he doesn't he's an idiot. Then again, if a 20 year old dates a 40 year old it's acceptable, however someone is clearly looking for a parental figure (or money).

why not as long as you are happy it should not matter.
my 1st hubby was 31 years my senior and we had a son before he passed away. this is one of the downfalls of being with someone that age but i would not trade it for anything.
my hubby now is 10 years older and we have 2 more children together. i would not change anything about my life i love all of my boys very much.

Why not. Who cares what anyone else thinks as long as you are happy. Now of course, if the girls is 15 and the guy is 30, then we have a problem.

And Tickme, why do you seem to hate being black so much?

first i had to assert u.s. ISNT CRAPPY in basic terms by using eating AGE! to me it form of seems such as you nonetheless have an immature element to you. you dont go with to think of of ways the daughter feels cuz it may harm you and you think of bout how happy you're and not something concerns anymore. you sound form of egocentric there. you're able to think of roughly who's greater significant to you. your 40 365 days previous boyfriend who could in all possibility be on your existence for 20-30 greater years (could be greater who is familiar with) or your loved ones who has been there for you for the excellent existence and greater to come again. who might you somewhat have for the remainder of your existence? i might in my view chosen my family contributors. you have alot of thinking to do and optimistically you're making the ideal determination. no longer saying the two is powerful or incorrect. there are lots of adult males available that im particular you're able to fall for. and who might take care of you in basic terms the comparable. some could additionally be greater proper then him. your nonetheless youthful and function an entire existence previous to you to locate new issues! think of roughly it. and decide while you're making the ideal determination yet soak up each and every of the failings each and every person has pronounced and make a professionals and cons record which could help out somewhat good success!

Obviously it depends on how old you are. If you're 25, it might raise a few eyebrows but not much more.
If you're 14, however, that's a serious problem!
