do you think the world is getting nastier, scarier, more violent, overall a worse and worse place every day...or it is because of our huge media in every corner of the world that we just hear about it more than in bygone years? is it because as we get older, we've just stored these awful things and every new thing makes it seem worse and worse?

I think it's the hate & intolerance that make the world a nasty place. Some people are just mean, nasty, & rude. Just look at how some people answer questions on here. Some are down right nasty & have no need to be. I think we need to accept others' differences & beliefs. We don't have to agree with them, but we don't have to be mean. Then there's the violence. I don't understand how one human can inflict harm on another. Good luck. 2D

Yes it's getting worse and worse everyday. Little first graders are more inappropriate today than I was in sixth grade.

It's simple. Life is a shittty thing. People are mean. People die. People suffer. It's up to the individual to make their own nirvana and carry it inside for safekeeping.
