Different states have different limits. Some allow daytime driving until 18 or 19, some do not allow friends in the car until 19.
Some start at 16 some 17, some 18
There are other who have special allwoences for farmworkers

Varies by state--I think most are 16 with a learner's permit. Check your state's DMV website.
I worked in Egypt for a while. If you could learn to drive a stick shift in a 1978 Lada, you can drive anywhere!
There's an international driver's license but I don't know much about it. I think you need your US one anyway.
