I think that it is a beautiful name. Your (future) daughter will gain her own personality and reputation. No matter what her name is, people are just rude, and they tend to pick. Don't worry about other people. Just remember the joy of you, you child, and your family. The name is beautiful. That is all that should matter to you.

Well I personally love the name (But I prefer it spelled Delilah) and I dont think anyone would even comment on the bible story. She could go by Lilah for short!

Dehlila is lovely! Never heard of the bible story. Most people won't know it. Use it! It's beautiful!

I didn't even know the story in the bible and I'm not sure how many people would. It has to be whatever it means to you. If that's all you'll think of then you should pick something else.

Some people will think it's just a name, but others will ask you about Sampson and Delilah. There's just no way around it (other than to name your baby something else).

I dont really think it matters what we think. I like names that describe strong women. I choose one for my daughter to be that means enforcer of the law, Bailey.
