im a latina, my last boyfriend was asian.
after we broke up a bunch of latinas went up to me and asked me what was rong with me.
they wanted to know why the hek i was dating an asian and not a latino.
a week after i found out that the same thing happened to my ex. asian people were asking him why he dated a latina and not an asian.
this is a mulicultural country, whats rong with dating people from a different race?

My friend, there is nothing wrong at all. In the least. People are just (get ready for this cause its the truth) jealous.
This type of jealousy is not easily explained, but I shall try my best:
These are people who believe their race are the best. In effect, everyone else's race is lower. This is the essence of racism, yet no one wants to admit they're racist. It happens to asian men when white men date asian women. It happens to white men when black men date white women. It happens a lot. Yet no one admits that the problem is actually their problem with racism.
So, in effect, your latina friends believe you have dated a lower race (asian), and that only latina men are good enough for you. This caring emotion, disguised as loving friendship, is a very dangerous ordeal to have with your friends; in fact, they might make you their enemy because of who you date. So you must make it clear to them that they are the ones who are wrong--wrong for their racism. Because if that isn't racism, then what is?

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with an interracial relationship, so long as the two people love each other. Still many people aren't used to seeing interracial couples. You have have no reason to feel that you were wrong. If your friends aren't able to see that you liked or loved the guy then who cares. So long as you know what you guys had. Society is coming into a new era. It wasn't too long ago that people started to accept the colored people either. It takes time for people to accept the fact that someday everyone in this world is going to me from different cultures and then combined.

Nothing's wrong with them. Unfortunately there are small minded people in every race, but the reality is it's no big dea. Most of my gf's were of other races, and I (black) ended up marrying a latina.

My husband is vietnamese/german(white) and i'm black and everyone around us is so very happy for us. We have a beautiful 17 month old daughter and are totally happy.
Don't worry about haters. They'll find something even if it wasn't about the race thing. Surround yourself with positive people and screw the rest.

Nothing. I am here as result of interaccial unions and so are a lot of awesome people. You should be proud to not limit yourself to certain people. There aren't a lot of men to go around and if you stick to your own ethic group that group gets much smaller. So keep doing what you are doing.
