Since January I've read 97 books (I keep track on LibraryThing.com). My favorite books I've read this year are a mixture of romance, fantasy and young adult books since that is mostly what I read.
Romance:
Lover Revealed by J.R. Ward
Mona Lisa Awakening by Sunny
Scandal in Springtime/Devil in Winter by Lisa Kleypas
Prince of Ice by Emma Holly
Young Adult:
Ironside by Holly Black
Wide Awake by David Levithan
The Midnighters Trilogy by Scott Westerfeld
Secret Vampire by L.J. Smith
Urban Fantasy:
Rachel Caine's Weather Warden series
Moon Called/Blood Bound by Patricia Briggs

Its hard to say how many i've read in the last couple years. For a long time i was going through two books a week, but lately i've been busy with two jobs, etc.
Right now because its the ultimate Harry Potter month, and i'm a HUGE fan, i'll have to say any of the Harry Potter books.
But generally, i love just about every book i read, with the exception of only a few.

On average I've read about 50-55 books in the last year, I read about 3-4 books a month. The book I like most out of those was Douglas Coupland's JPod. But one of the best books I've ever read is Audrey Niffenegger's 'The Time Traveller's Wife'.

I've read a lot of books but Irvine Welsh is good, don't know if he is my favourite author though.I guess the best books are the ones that dare to be different and include their own persona; thoughts on life and the state of the world.Fell good books are also good - I don't know there's just so many!If I could I would trap myself in a library and read all day and night - but unfortunately life's not that good!

I have no idea how many books I have read in the last few years - lots and lots!
Recently I have read the entire Temperance Brennan series by Kathy Reichs back to back - I love finding a new author I like then reading everything they have written...

because i am a full time student i really don't have time to read anything fun, but when i get the chance i do like to read the No.1 Ladies Detective. they are funny and a easy weekend read.
as far as how many books in the last few years i would have to say way too many boring textbooks.

Asking how many books I've read in the past few years is like asking how many stars are in the sky. It's just too many to count, lol. And I just can't pick a favorite, they're all good!

i have no idea how many, probably hundreds! The best book ever (i think, anyway) is The Moon Riders by Theresa Tomlinson. I have also recently enjoyed reading Under a War Torn Sky by L.M.Elliot.
